My Baby Penguin (“the game”) is published by My Baby Penguin (“we”). This policy explains what data the game uses and why. In short: no ads, no tracking, no data sold, and nothing personal is needed to play.
What we collect
- An anonymous player account. On first launch the game creates an account with a random identifier. It holds your snowflake balance, your quests and badges, a backup of your game progress (your penguin, its accessories), and your colony (its name, the penguins sent there, the gifts to its treasure).
- Your player name, only if you invite friends or join a colony. It is chosen from a list of first names: there is no free text and no chat.
- Your email address, only if you choose to save your penguin. It is used to send you a 6-digit code, and to get your penguin back on another phone. We never show it to other players and never send you marketing.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment details. We receive a confirmation of what was bought, linked to your anonymous account, to deliver it.
Reminders (“your penguin is hungry”) are scheduled on your phone and don’t send anything to us.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics tools, no sale or rental of data.
Who processes the data
- Supabase hosts the accounts and the game’s server.
- RevenueCat checks purchases with Apple and Google.
- Resend sends the code emails (only if you save your penguin with an email).
- Apple and Google handle payments and app delivery.
They only process the data needed for their service, on our behalf.
Children
The game can be enjoyed by all ages and can be played without giving any personal information. Saving with an email is optional; we recommend that a parent enters it for a young child. If you think a child gave us an email without permission, write to us and we will delete it.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account while you play. You can delete your account and all its data at any time: on the Delete my account page if your penguin is saved with an email (a code sent to it confirms the deletion), or by writing to contact@mybabypenguin.com; we do it within 30 days. Penguins you sent to a friend’s colony are removed with your account.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@mybabypenguin.com. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
